| TurboSFV v9.63 - Import and export of service configuration |
Notes to TurboSFV v9.63:
TurboSFV (XE) includes a service module, which allows validation tasks to be running in the background, without an user being logged on to the system. There are quite some parameters to be configured, which have an impact on the way, the
service module is running. Those parameters can now be exported to a configuration
file.
This includes general settings like the used service account and log file options, but also security settings, which control the access to the service work folders. All these settings can now be saved and kept in a secure place and be used
to restore the service configuration settings. In case of a major release change, a previously exported configuration might also help to transform the service
parameters.
For the import and export of service configuration settings, administration rights are needed, because service parameters can only be changed with appropriate privileges. These privileges are also required for restarting or even
reinstalling the service, depending on which parameters have
changed.
This release also includes various minor improvements and fixes we came across while developing the new upcoming version 10.
