TurboSFV v9.50 - Network read buffer size
Notes to TurboSFV v9.50:

The new version of TurboSFV provides the option to configure the size of the read buffer, which is used for reading files over a network. This is one characteristic value, when it comes to optimize the read speed - along with other parameters, for example the speed of the network, how fast can the device deliver the data, how busy is the network and many others.

If the buffer is too small, the speed might go down, most likely because of additional protocol overhead. If the buffer is too big, the speed can also go down, because the application must wait until the buffer is filled. The best value for an environment is most likely a value in between.

In previous versions, TurboSFV used a fixed size buffer for remote connections. For some users, the size of the buffer was just fine, for others however not because of different local conditions. As a solution, TurboSFV now offers a range of values, from which one can be selected to define the size of the buffer.

Note that this is an application-wide setting: All modules in TurboSFV (GUI, command-line, shell plus the service module in XE) will use this value for remote connections. If file is located on the same computer, then different fixed values are used, which depend on the device type.
