TurboSFV v9.41 - Documentation in PDF format
Notes to TurboSFV v9.41:

The new version includes TurboSFV manuals as PDF files, in addition to the existing CHM help files. Some customers requested this: Depending on the used PDF reader, this format provides a more modern way for reading, navigating and printing than the old school format.

However, there is a disadvantage: With the old format it is possible to implement a context sensitive help system. Depending on what you are actually doing with an application, you can request help and directly jump to the correct help chapter. TurboSFV is using this feature for the configuration dialogs, where you can request a mouse pointer with a small question mark and click on a control, for which you need additional information. The help file then automatically opens and jumps to the correct page. If the help file is already displayed, it's not opened again and the same instance is used for displaying the correct chapter. If the application is closed, then the help window also closes (if opened by the application).

The available features for displaying PDF files are limited by the installed PDF reader, which is usually a third party application. Some of these readers provide command-line parameters, which can be used to specify start parameters, like a page number to open, but that's it more or less - you can't communicate with an opened PDF reader.

That's why TurboSFV provides both formats: The CHM format is still used for the internal help system. If you prefer PDF manuals, you can open them with your default PDF reader by clicking on the appropriate shortcuts in the start menu.
