TurboSFV v8.62 - File properties dialog from within application |
Notes to TurboSFV v8.62:
In the new version, it's possible to directly open the Windows file properties dialog for a specific file, listed in the validation list in the main program. You can for example filter the file list, so that only files are displayed, where
the validation failed. By opening the file properties, you can then quickly check the details for a file, for example the digital
signature.
Apropos digital signature: All executable files in TurboSFV are digitally signed. The certificate, on which the digital signature is based, had to be renewed. Old signatures based on the old certificate are still valid, but the old
certificate can no longer be used to digitally sign
files.
The validation details in the main program now show the short path form of a file name. In this form, each part of the path isn't longer than 8 characters and the file name itself follows the 8.3 convention. This can be useful, if you have
files with a very long path and/or file name and you have problems to explore the file. The short form can for example be used to navigate to the file by using the command-line. However, even the command-line has some
limits.
Feel free to add a comment regarding the new version here.
