TurboSFV v5.00 - Command-line: Create / validate checksum files |
Notes to TurboSFV v5.00:
Version 5 now includes command line versions (32-bit and 64-bit), which can be used to create and validate hash values in a command line environment. This can be very useful, if you want to automate hash tasks, for example hashing folders
or files by using batch files. If you intent to use the command line versions, do not forget to read the appropriate chapters in the manual: They provide detailed information about parameters, switches and exit codes. You will also find
some examples for batch
files.
Another major change was to make TurboSFV completely DPI aware. This has an impact on how TurboSFV looks, if you change the DPI settings on your system. This includes symbols, fonts, size and position of windows and controls as well as the
widths of list columns. Shell extensions such as property sheets were also affected. If you want to play with DPI settings, open the display settings in the windows control panel and look for the page, where you can change the screen items
to "smaller, medium,
larger".
Finally, along with other changes which are listed in detail in the release history, there is a new layout for the small TurboSFV icon.
I you have any comments for this specific release, please post them in this thread.
