| TurboSFV v8.40 - Efficient writing of checksum files |
Notes to TurboSFV v8.40:
One point on the todo list was to make the process of reading and writing checksum files more efficient. In case of large files, for example a file with checksums for all files on a drive, the process used a remarkable amount of memory,
writing the file could take some time, there was no progress indication and no option to stop
it.
In this version, we set focus on this issue and improved the process. It now takes less memory, for longer operations there is a progress indication and an option to cancel the writing. As a little present, the GUI version doesn't longer
freeze while writing large
files.
Affected are the GUI versions as well as the command-line versions. Same changes were applied to the export functions in the main program.
