TurboSFV v7.61 - Shell InfoTip: Search for new files |
Notes to TurboSFV v7.61:
In this new version, the Shell infotip got the find-new functionality, so it can display the number of files, which arrived after the creation of the hash file.
As a precondition, the hash file must use relative paths. This, to limit the possible locations, where to search for new files, because the infotip handler must search automatically and provide the results to the Shell within a reasonable
time. If the search takes too long, the handler interrupts it and the infotip doesn't display this information.
The search path is the location of the hash file. It can be searched in this folder or recursively. These options can be turned on/off in the configuration on the interface tab.
Note that the hash file itself is counted as new, because it can't be listed in the hash file. If it's the only new file, the infotip displays an extra hint: This file. There is also an information, whether the search was done recursively
or
not.
For larger hash files or for longer search operations, the Shell property page Content can be used, which provides quite some additional information and features.
If you like to add a comment for this version, then here is the right place.
